Phil Barnes announced that the Junior Blue Water Open has been re-scheduled for March 30, 2019. Volunteers are needed – please contact Eva Chapman to sign up.
Ali Qizilbash reported that the Thrillusionist show to benefit the Chum Bucket and e-Angels was a huge success, raising over $5000 for these student friendly organizations. Congratulations and thank you to Ali for spearheading this event!
Diana Best announced that our National Day of Service will be celebrated all month. We will be collecting torn and tattered flags in our business community to be properly disposed of at the VFW or American Legion or by Boy Scouts. If you know of a flag in need of replacing bring it in or contact Diana at dbest@oculinabank.com or 772-581-3199.
Eric Flowers announced that the Florida Sheriffs’ Annual BBQ will be held on March 6th from 2-8 p.m. at the IRC Sheriffs’ Department grounds located at 4055 41st Avenue in Vero Beach. Admission is $5 and all proceeds benefit the Florida Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch for troubled and neglected kids.
Phil Barns announced that the Boys & Girls Club 19th Annual Angels Dinner will be held March 6 at the Corporate Air, Inc. Aviation Hangar. The theme this year is summer camp. Funds raised at the event will support our summer program, which helps Club members take flight and learn during the summer months.

President Bill Middleton read a letter of thanks received for our club’s $4,000 donation to the Shriner’s Transportation Fund.
Karen McElveen announced that an email was received from the Guardians for New Futures thanking us for the gifts for the children. The organization gave gifts to over 400 foster children.
