Each year we put on the Blue Water Open Charity Fishing Tournament<\/a>. With the help of our community, all the local businesses who donate and sponsor us and the local fisherman, we make money. Community Giving, October<\/h2>\n

On October 17th<\/sup> we presented the Boys and Girls Club with a check in the amount of $11,600.<\/h3>\n

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County is \u201cto inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Executive Director Elizabeth Thomason told us that a much needed new clubhouse in Fellsmere is in the works to be constructed and should be completed by the end of 2019.<\/p>\n

 There is now an Athletic Director who serves all three clubs. The children at the Boys and Girls club enjoy playing  soccer and basketball and spending time in a safe and nurturing environment. <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
