On November 28th our guest speaker was Susan Santosus, a Florida Exchange Club District Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Children\u2019s Healing Institute (CHI). The CHI is one of 6 Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) centers in Florida. Like our other CAP centers the focus is on parenting skill sets for the developmental stages of children. The annual cost of this parenting program is $3000 vs. $65,000 per child for foster care<\/strong> (for social workers, therapists, foster care, and medical needs). The CAP center programs have impacted many generations of families.<\/p>\n

Susan asked our members to consider traveling to Tallahassee on April 1, 2019 for Exchange Day promoting saving Florida\u2019s Children and having the legislature hear about Exchange Club focus: Promoting Americanism, fostering community service, and recognizing our youth.<\/p>\n
