\"Rules<\/a>2016 Blue Water Open Tournament Rules<\/u><\/h1>\n

1. <\/strong>Your Boat Name Is Your Tournament #<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. All State & Federal Fishing Rules & Regulations Apply<\/u><\/strong>. This is a rod & reel event. Wire line and electric reels are not allowed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. 4 Tournament Fish Categories<\/u><\/strong>:<\/strong> (1) <\/strong>Dolphin, (2) Wahoo, (3) Kingfish (4) Grouper (Warsaw excluded). All categories subject to state and federal restrictions<\/em>.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. No Formal Check-Out<\/u><\/strong>. Captains may start from any Inlet but must proceed without making land to the check-in boat near ICW Marker 65<\/em> in Sebastian.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. NO LINES IN BEFORE 6:00AM<\/u><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. FISHING<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u><\/strong> After entering the ocean & until your fish are weighed you may not make land or transfer fish with another boat<\/u>.\u00a0 In case of a tie in fish weight, the lowest plate number (#) is given the place.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. FISH SIZE<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u><\/strong> All fish to be weighed in must have a minimum weight of 10 pounds<\/u>.\u00a0 Please support conservation and release fish under 10 pounds.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Check-In 2:00PM – 5:00PM:<\/u><\/strong> (No late check-ins accepted.)<\/strong>\u00a0 After fishing, boats must proceed directly by water without any land stops to the check-in boat, located near ICW Marker 65 in Sebastian.\u00a0 You are NOT checked-in until you receive a numbered plate from the check-in boat.\u00a0 DO NOT<\/em> PROCEED INTO ENTRY CHANNEL FOR WEIGH-IN UNTIL DIRECTED!<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Boat Breakdowns<\/u><\/strong>: A boat may be towed to the weigh-in.\u00a0 The 5:00PM final check-in still applies<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. All fish will be subject to a freshness test <\/u>by means of an Organoleptic Exam and a Torry Meter. Captains are responsible for keeping their catch properly iced & fresh.\u00a0 Fish failing the exam will be disqualified.\u00a0<\/em> Mutilated fish may also be disqualified.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. WEATHER:<\/u><\/strong> If a late cancellation becomes necessary, it will be announced on CH 72 immediately following the NOAA Saturday 4:30 AM update & on website bluewateropen.com<\/u>.\u00a0 Saturday, June 11th is the weather date. No refunds if Tournament is canceled. <\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. Protests:<\/u><\/strong> Must be in writing; include a $200.00 cash deposit and notice given within 10 minutes of the last fish weighed.\u00a0 The deposit will be refunded if the protest is upheld<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  12. Lady Angler & Junior Angler:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 Catch must be the sole effort<\/u><\/em> of the Lady or Junior Angler until a mate can handle the leader. Junior Angler is 12 years of age & younger. Fish entered under Lady or Junior Angler must be declared before being weighed, but may compete for other cash prizes.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. Communication: <\/u><\/strong>Tournament Channel is VHF CH72<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. All decisions of BWO committee regarding tournament matters are final.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  15. All Calcutta\u2019s are prohibited. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
